Thank you for your interest in the Broadway Emergency Squad, Inc. Established in 1953, our team of highly trained and dedicated volunteers have been providing emergency medical care to patients within our approximately 215 square mile first due area. We work jointly with local fire departments and other EMS agencies to ensure that emergencies are answered in a timely manner. To accommodate the approximately 2,300 calls for service that we receive per year, our station is jointly staffed with 24/7 career personnel provided by the Rockingham County Department of Fire and Rescue. Together, we serve our neighbors in their time of greatest need.
Our team is comprised of members of the community, such as yourself, wishing to make a difference in the lives of our fellow neighbors. Becoming a member of our team requires strong character, compassion, sacrifice and intensive training to learn the skills necessary to manage emergency situations. With your help, we can accomplish our goal of providing the highest quality of prehospital emergency medical care, in a timely manner, to our neighbors in need.
